Supported Artists

Suena Kim is a visual artist based between Korea and New York, whose practice traverses the boundaries of figuration and abstraction to probe the essence of human emotion. Beginning with the human form, her work unfolds through layers of color, gesture, and texture, revealing emotional depths and the lingering traces of memory. The inexpressible strata of existence find shape and voice on her canvas through a distinct visual language.

Born and raised in Korea, Kim is now exhibits internationally. To date, she has held 28 solo exhibitions across the United States, Korea, New Jersey, and Germany. Most recently, she presented solo exhibitions at Artexpo New York, Mana Contemporary, and Gala Art Center, and has participated in major international art fairs including Red Dot Miami, LA Art Show, Art Palm Beach, and AAF Milan. Her works have been recognized by institutions such as the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Art Bank, Korea), E-Land Cultural Foundation, and the National Art Competition of Korea, where she has received multiple awards. She has also been selected as an artist-in-residence at the New York Mills Arts Retreat Residency Program (MN) in both 2016 and 2018.
